A successful international student project leads to an international inter-university Master thesis

The logistic and operations management department congratulates Federica on successfully completing her master´s thesis at the University of Rome La Sapienza. Federica is an italian exchange student from the University of Rome La Sapienza. She passed the international supply chain certificate in the winter semester 2020 at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences. The international internship project with the top brand PUMA with focus on a feasibility study to implement RFID technology into Puma’s supply chain processes inspired Frederica to further investigate and elaborate on the potential of this technology. The master thesis “Improved Supply Chain Performance through RFID Technology” received an excellent feedback and grading in the final presentation in July 2020 at the University of Rome La Sapienza.

Personal words from her Mentor Margot Elwischger:

It was a big pleasure to work together with Federica, who is a very motivated person with strong personality and high personal expectations. I deeply congratulate her to this excellent master thesis and I wish her all the best and success for her future professional career.

Personal comment from Federica:

“I am happy to have participated in the Erasmus program and to have chosen Salzburg as a destination. Salzburg University of Applied Sciences welcomed me immediately with enthusiasm and engaging activities. I personally participated in the International Supply Chain Programm and the Puma implementation project, with a team of international and local students. Subsequently, I decided to deepen the research through a thesis project, because I believe that technology and technological innovation can bring significant advantages in the immediate future for many business realities. During the writing, I had the full support of the teacher Margot Elwischger and my supervisor Francesco Bellini to whom I am immensely grateful.“
